Candolim beach is a beautiful section of beach that continues south from Calangute and has a large presence of tourist shops, restaurants and hotels. A large number of beach shacks can also be found along the beach.
It's a good area to go out shopping shopping and dining with numerous options available. One can also find plenty beach front accommodations.Going into the history of Candolim, during the late 16th century, Candolim became the first village to be entirely converted to Christianity in Bardez by the Franciscans. The present Christian identity of its villagers dates back to the conversion of Santu Sinay (Shenoy), a ganvkar (Konkani: freeholder) who belonged to the nobility of his people.
